Dr Oz Metabolism Boosters - Fucoxanthin

Today’s opening segments was all about jump starting your metabolism the moment you roll out of bed.  When you have your metabolism running at optimal levels you will be burning extra calories all day long without any extra work! This first segment was called “Turbocharge Your Metabolism” and for good reason.  He talks about his Belly Blast Hot Shot (along with the recipe), Sacha Inchi, Kombucha Wonder Drink, Spicy Red Icee, and more.  Learn how to add some “rocket fuel” to your day and melt away that fat.  It’s fun to lose weight, especially when no extra work is involved because you have turbocharged your metabolism!

Belly Blast Hot Shot Recipe

A guest from the audience came to the stage.  Dr. Oz asked her what she drinks throughout the day.  She said hot tea, water, and some soda pop in the evening.  Well, I think we all know that soda wouldn’t be considered a metabolism booster, so Dr Oz shared his “Belly Blast Hot Shot” recipe as an alternative way to turbocharge her metabolism.  Here is the quick and simple belly blast hot shot recipe along with it’s ingredients. :

Belly Blast Hot Shot Recipe :

  • 2 tablespoons of tomato juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of horseradish
  • A drop or two of hot sauce (I love spicy foods/drinks so I’ll probably modify this and have 3 or 4 drops!)
  • Squeeze of lime

Try having this shot each morning before you get your day rolling.. I’m sure it will wake you up fast and get you movin!

Kombucha Wonder Drink

I used to brew my own Kombucha for years so I was excited to hear Dr Oz talk about this drink on the show.  Kombucha is a fermented tea that is full of probiotics.  Dr Oz said that it helps to protect the liver so it can concentrate on things like your metabolism!  Kick the soda to the curb and try some Kombucha.  Unless you know what you are doing I wouldn’t suggest brewing Kombucha yourself.  you can find kombucha in health food stores as well as online.

Spicy Red Icee Recipe

Another recipe to boost your metabolism is the Spicy Red Icee Recipe.  Mix spicy red wine with ice chips.  Add some sprigs of mint and your good to go.

Supplements To Boost Metabolism – Fucoxanthin with Xanthigen

Need a little extra help to get your metabolism to where it needs to be?  Dr Oz suggested Fucoxanthin with Xanthigen.  Try taking 200 milligrams per day. Fucoxanthin targets belly fat and is all natural. Also, are you aware that the weight loss supplement Qnexa appears to be the first FDA approved weight loss drug in over a decade!  See what Dr Oz thinks about this pill and if it’s the new “Silver Bullet” for weight loss.

Sacha Inchi

Full of Omega 3’s, vitamin E and other antioxidants, Sacha Inchi can help your body to relax. It also helps to reduce inflammation in your body.  Take 600 milligrams per day.

L-Arginine can help your body’s hormone levels become balanced.  This can help you lose weight when your hormones are working in harmony.  Dr Oz said to take 2000 milligrams 3 times per day.

Calorie Confusion – Alternate High and Low Calorie Days

Don’t want to take supplements?  You can also give your metabolism a boost simply by the way that you eat.  Calorie confusion is a great way to lose weight by simply alternating high and low calorie intake days.

By instilling a calorie confusion weight loss plan you  can trick your body into thinking you’ve had plenty of calories.  This keeps your metabolism firing on all cylinders.

Black Peppers and Dill Seeds Metabolism Booster

When you eat a meal sprinkle some black pepper or dill seeds on to your meals. Dr Oz said to sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of dill seed as yet another way to kick start your metabolism the natural way.

Spirulina Bars

These bars are full of amino acids and proteins. Dr Oz invited a guest to the stage to try the chips and she enjoyed them.  She thought they tasted like bananas.
