City Cakes West.  Dr. Oz said that usually desserts take such a long to make and they payoff is never there for all the time that is involved. However, today Duff Goldman shared a delicious dessert (Diced Pear Parfait) that can be made in only 5 minutes!

The special dessert recipe is a sauteed pear parfait with a greek yogurt maple mousse.  The recipe also has cinnamon in it which Dr. Oz really liked. Dr. Oz said that cinnamon is good for your blood pressure and your liver.  The Greek Yogurt also is a healthy probiotic which promotes healthy intestinal bacteria.  Here is the 5 minute recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 Diced Pears
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Brown Sugar
  • 2 Oz Butter
  • 1 pint Greek yogurt
  • Ginger cookies
  • Maple syrup
  • Heavy cream optional

Directions 

  • Sautee the diced pears in the butter, brown sugar, and some cinnamon (according to your taste).
  • Crush a half box of ginger cookies. Use either a bowl or a plastic bag to crush the cookies.
  • Which the maple syrup together with the Greek yogurt. Put the mixture into a piping bag.
  • In a dish, layer mousse, ginger cookies, and pears.
  • Garnish with pear wedges
