Dr. Oz went to Rosie’s studio and he noted all the temptations that surrounded her. Vending machines and snacks were all within arms reach.

Rosie told Dr. Oz that food addiction is an acceptable disease.  She mentioned that you can’t just shoot up heroin in public without people taking notice.  However, going into a restaurant and ordering a whole pie is perfectly acceptable.

Rule #1 Go Green

Rosie has a green drink every morning called Green Vibrance from Vibrant Health.  She said that is full of all the vitamins that you need.  She said the first time she saw the green drink she didn’t think there was any way that she could drink it.  She tried it and she says that it’s not bad at all.  Rosie said that she used to have yoohoos and ring dings for breakfast, so if she can do it then you can do it too.

Rule #2 – Three Plate Rule

For breakfast she has a bowl of cereal.  At lunchtime she will have lunch that mostly consists of vegetables and maybe a salad.  For dinner she eats fish 4 to 5 times per week.  She frequently eats brown rice and vegetables with her dinner.

Dr. Oz asked Rosie how she feels eating this way.  She said at first she felt terrible, but now she feels much better.  Rosie said that she does slip up from time to time.  She said that there are certain foods (like homemade cookies) that she is powerless over.  She said that she can’t even have them around.

Rule #3 Swap Out Foods

Find healthier alternatives for junk food like chips.  Rosie eats strips of apple with a little bit of peanut butter on them.

Rule #4 Exercise

Make exercise fun.  Rosie exercises by doing activities like basketbball.  They had a basketball hoop set up on stage.  First Dr. Oz shot and missed and then Rosie took her shot and it swished right through!
