Today Dr. Oz invited KellyAnn Petrucci on to the show to talk about the benefits a “Mini Fast” can do for you. People usually get terrified when they hear the term “fasting” in a conversation, because they associate fasts with depriving yourself from food and being hungry all the time. The Dr. Oz Mini Fast allows you to enjoy all the benefits of a fast, while still being allowed to eat every day.
Eat Only Between 11AM-7PM
Kellyann Petrucci called this time period as your “Go Time”.. This is when you will eat. From 7PM – 11AM is when you will be in your mini fast phase. Dr. Oz asked Kellyann how people can benefit from doing the 5 day mini fast diet. She said that you are training your body to burn stored fat to use as fuel.

Who ever heard of getting a dessert while on a fast? On the mini fast you can. She said the secret is how you sweeten your desserts. She shared an Avocado Mousse Recipe and here are the ingredients that you will need :
Chocolate Avocado Mousse Recipe
- 1 large, ripe avocado
- 1/4 cup almond or coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/4 cup cocoa or cacao powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
1. Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until creamy.
2. Chill in the refrigerator for few hours or overnight.
3. Enjoy your Chocolate Avocado Mousse. What a perfect way to end the day!
Dr. Oz took a taste the avocado mousse recipe and he said that the dessert feels rich and satisfies any cravings for sweets. Kelly also mentioned that it is filled with healthy fats from the avocado and coconut oil.
